LONDON ZOO, MUDCHUTE FARM AND NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

Since we were starting up with animal locomotion after Christmas I went to the London Zoo to draw animals after I came back from Norway. Animals is by far my favourite thing to draw, both because of the challenge since they never are standing still, but also because I personally find them way more interesting than humans.

The day after I went with my classmate Gabriela to Mudchute Farm and Park to draw animals again, this time, farm animals.

Before Christmas we finished our last traditional life drawing classes on Wednesdays, from now on we are only going on field trips. The first one was to the Natural History Museum.

Here we mostly drew dead animals on jars in spirit…

We got to go down to the basement where the bigger animals were and draw them. They had everything from snakes, sharks, foxes and bats to a giant squid down there! We were allowed to take pictures for a reference as long as we promised not to publish them ; )
